The same words can name different productions
Severance is both a 2006 film and a 2022 series. The Office has distinct British and American productions. Drishyam exists in different language adaptations. Before saving a title or opening an episode guide, compare the year, cast and format. The following comparisons retain the separate records rather than collapsing them under one poster.
A sequel is not a duplicate
Wicked: For Good continues Wicked but has its own entry and release year. That distinction matters for search results and saved lists. Similarly, a live-action adaptation and an animated series can share a title while having entirely different season structures.
An edition is another question
After selecting the production, inspect the available viewing edition for audio, subtitles and picture quality. A dubbed track is not a new remake, and an HD edition is not a separate film. Keeping production identity and viewing edition separate makes both choices much clearer.

The 2006 film is a horror comedy. The 2022 workplace series is a different production, not an adaptation listed under the same entry.
